Helen Vella is on the Board of Child Rescue Network and was presented with the Jefferson Award for Volunteer Services. Helping to stop the abuse of children by educating parents and guardians is a step to stopping the cycle of abuse. This is something very dear to Helen’s heart.
Helen also won the State of Florida award for Public Speaking by Business & Professional Women.
She was nominated at the Women of Distinction Awards 2009
She has just published her first book where she bears her soul and gives you an insight into her childhood. Exactly what abuse she went through and then her determination to overcome and fight back.
